It does not apply to information collected by third parties that we do not control (for example, external sites you visit from links on our Services). - Processing: any operation performed on personal data (collection, storage, use, disclosure, deletion, etc.).
- Controller / Processor: the entity that determines purposes/means of processing / a party that processes data on our instructions.

a. Information you provide directly
- Account details: name, email, phone number, password, profile photo, role (student, teacher, employer, etc.).
- Application materials: resumes/CVs, cover letters, portfolios, essays, transcripts, certificates submitted for jobs, internships, scholarships, admissions, or contests.
- Education & career data: school/institution, grades, courses, skills, experience, certifications, employer details.
- Content & communications: messages you send, forum posts, application answers, feedback, survey responses.
- Payments & billing: billing address and payment transaction metadata (we do not store full card numbers; third-party payment processors handle card data).
- User-generated content: uploads such as essays, projects, images, videos (subject to contributor agreements).
- Verifications & checks: identity verification, background or qualification checks where permitted and required.
b. Information collected automatically
- Device & connection: device type, browser, OS, device identifiers, mobile network info.
- Usage & analytics: pages visited, time on pages, clickstream, search queries, features used, log files, error reports.
- Network & access: IP address, referrer, access times.
- Location: coarse location via IP (city/country). Exact location (GPS) only with your explicit consent and when you enable location features.
c. Information from third parties
- From partners, recruitment platforms, payment processors, identity/verification providers, public sources (e.g., professional profiles), and other service providers.
d. Aggregated / de-identified data
- We may aggregate or de-identify data for analytics, research, product improvement and reporting. De-identified data is not personal data.
5. How we use your information (purposes)

- Legal requirements & safety: to comply with laws, respond to valid legal requests or protect the rights, property or safety of Edvyra or others.
- Business transfers: in connection with mergers, acquisitions, asset sales, financing or bankruptcy — we will notify users as required by law.
- Public content: any content you publish publicly (profiles, comments) may be visible to others and indexed by search engines.
We require third parties who process personal data on our behalf to provide appropriate safeguards and contractual protections.

Edvyra operates globally. Your information may be processed in countries different from your residence. We use appropriate safeguards (e.g., standard contractual clauses, contractual commitments with subprocessors, or other lawful transfer mechanisms) when transferring data across borders. We use cookies and similar technologies to operate and improve Services:

10. Marketing & communications choices
We may send newsletters, job alerts, event invites and promotional messages. You can opt out of marketing by clicking the unsubscribe link in an email or emailing info@edvyra.com. Transactional and service messages (account notifications, security alerts) are necessary for service operation and cannot be opted out of.
11. Data security
We implement administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect personal data, such as access controls, encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS), encryption at rest where appropriate, firewalls, secure backups, logging and monitoring, and staff training. 12. Data retention
We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described and to meet legal, tax, or accounting obligations. Typical retention examples (subject to change):
- Account information: for the lifetime of the account plus up to 2 years after deletion for backups, fraud prevention and legal obligations.
- Application materials (jobs/scholarships): up to 3 years unless you request earlier deletion or a longer period is required/consented to.
- Transactional and billing records: up to 7 years for compliance.
- Support and communications records: 2–5 years depending on legal and operational needs.
- Aggregated/analytics data: retained in de-identified form indefinitely.

13. Your rights & how to exercise them
Subject to applicable law, you may have rights including:
- Access: obtain a copy of personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Deletion: request deletion in certain circumstances.
- Restriction: request limits on our processing.
- Portability: receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Object: object to processing based on legitimate interests or direct marketing.
- Withdraw consent: where processing is based on consent.
- Complain: lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

14. Children & age-restricted services
Our Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children without parental consent. 15. Job applicants & recruitment
If you apply through Edvyra, we will process your application to evaluate candidacy and may share application materials with employers or partners you apply to. We may retain applicant information for future roles where permitted. We will inform you about any required background checks and seek consent where legally necessary.
16. Third-party links & embedded content
Our Services may include links, embedded content (videos, social widgets) and plugins from third parties. These third parties have their own privacy practices. We encourage you to review their policies before sharing personal information.
17. Data breaches & notifications
If a personal data breach creates a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will follow applicable legal requirements and notify affected users and regulators without undue delay, describing the nature of the breach, likely consequences, and steps taken.
18. Privacy by design & vendor obligations
We apply privacy-by-design principles (data minimization, access controls, default privacy settings) when building features. Vendors and subprocessors are required to implement appropriate safeguards, confidentiality obligations and to process data only on our instructions.
19. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect changes in practices, products, legal requirements or features. We will post the updated Policy with a new effective date. For material changes we will provide more prominent notice (e.g., email or in-service notice).

21. Additional notes for applicants, students, and teachers
- When you submit applications or portfolios to employers, those recipients control how they use that information; review recipient privacy notices.

- Scholarship or program-specific processes may have separate notices; read any supplemental consent forms carefully.
